Generation Next is dedicated to supporting youth in Walton and Okaloosa counties by providing essential resources, mentorship, and guidance to help them reach their full potential. Whether it's access to school supplies, clothing, or educational support, we are here to ensure that no child is left behind.
School Supplies
A strong education starts with the right tools. We equip students with backpacks, notebooks, pencils, and other essential school supplies so they can focus on learning and achieving their goals.
How It Works
The Matrix C.O.C. partners with the Walton and Okaloosa County School Districts to support homeless students in grades K-12 by addressing their unmet needs. Students are referred through a voucher program by school personnel, including SROs, teachers, guidance counselors, and principals. Each voucher is vetted by the School District before being sent to the Matrix for fulfillment. Eligible students receive essential services to ensure they feel confident and have the resources they need to succeed in their daily environment.
Education Empowerment Initiative
The Education Empowerment Initiative supports housing-vulnerable and at-risk students in Walton County by providing academic guidance, career planning, and post-secondary opportunities. Through personalized mentorship, students receive assistance with study skills, tutoring, dual enrollment, industry certifications, and financial aid navigation, helping them build a stable and successful future.
Many students face housing instability and lack access to resources that support long-term academic success. Our Student Success Specialist bridges this gap by offering extended support beyond school hours, connecting students with colleges, businesses, and community partners to ensure they have the tools they need to thrive.
